The New Design organizes the audits on a timeline as the primary navigation with the audit number as the secondary navigation. Each audit is numbered in chronological order separated within it’s own card showing events listed in a table with details on each action taken. Each audit is described by events, the type of action taken, the creator of the action and effect or outcome of the action in a defined table layout. The Audit History application would be incorporated into the latest Optum brand look and feel using the Optum Gold color and standard quick access side menu.
As a design contractor, I was asked to update older designs. This older auditing application needed some additional functionality and a visual uplift. The requirement was based on qualitative data from user surveys that addressed user concerns. Then make the visual design consistent with the updated look and feel incorporating any collaborative changes.
The data collected from user surveys show some pain points with this older, outdated UI. Audits too crowded and hard to distinguish Font too small, spacing too tight and hard to read. Date and time stamp gets repeated and hard to distinguish Sorting and filtering functionality would be helpful to quickly retrieve the desired audit information but is limited in this older design. The new design must reside within the newly branded style using newly designed components.
